Why is Recycling so important at Junk Doctor?
| In 2021, we are using more and more products which often have a more limited lifespan. However, recycling programs and capabilities are also increasing! We believe that it's our duty to support the environment and keep as much material as possible out of of landfills. We're able to recycle up to 85% of materials, with an average of 70%-80% of Junk that is collected. Of course, these figures also include Donations.
Our process is relatively simple. Once we have a full truck, we are able to take this material to one of our transfer stations. At this point, material can be sorted based upon where it will be dropped off. At that point, we can plan to make the right trips, whether we're recycling metal, asphalt & soil/organic materials, cardboard, or making donations! |

Since sorting and double handling of Junk will take more time how can this be a winning strategy? Our staffing approach is flexible and we plan for sorting in advance. At the same time, our Dump Fees are directly proportional to the amount of material and weight that is being dropped off. If we are able to recycle more material, we will be spending less money at the dump!
These savings are key enablers to keep our prices low for our customers.
